Recent Developments in Lynnwood Real Estate
News about the city can be found in the Lynnwood Today. The new Costco at Lynnwood Place on what used to be the former site of Lynnwood High School is scheduled to open October 1, 2015. The project called Lynnwood Place will bring a mix of stores and apartments across the street from the Alderwood Mall. The former site of Lynnwood High School in the Edmonds School District will become 990,000 square feet of shops and homes.
The first business in a new retail center has opened at the intersection of 196th Street SW and Highway 99. LA Fitness at 19800 Highway 99 is one of 15 businesses that will comprise the Lynnwood Crossroads Shopping Center. The fitness company’s new gym opened on Oct. 17 and is in one of six new buildings on the site. Lynnwood properties around this area should benefit from these new facilities.
The Lynnwood City Council unanimously voted to adopt a resolution recommending C3 Modified as the preferred alignment and station location for the Sound Transit Lynnwood Link Light Rail Extension during Monday’s business meeting. This should enhance commuting into Seattle and Lynnwood WA home values should continue to increase by this development.
LYNNWOOD RECREATION CENTER
Opened in 2011, the Lynnwood Recreation Center features an aquatic park, lap pool, cardio/weight room, fitness studio, racquet ballcourts and reflexology path. Lynnwood home owners continue to enjoy these facilities.
