About Lake Forest Park
News about Lake Forest Park can be found in the Civic Newspaper. Lake Forest Park runs along the north end of Lake Washington and hosts a Town Center, a summertime Farmers Market, seven parks and is close to the Burke-Gilman trail which opened in 1978.
Lake Forest Park Town Center is the site of Third Place Books, an independent book seller. Adjacent to the bookstore is a thriving community center (Third Place Commons). Aside from hosting almost a thousand events a year that are open to all, the Commons is a town gathering place that draws people of all ages. A branch of the King County Library is also located on the lower level of the shopping center. For more information about Lake Forest Park, click on Lake Forest Park.
In 1994, large areas to the south, including Sheridan Beach and Sheridan Heights voted to join Lake Forest Park. It borders Seattle, Shoreline, Mountlake Terrace, Brier, and Kenmore. Most of the area consists of single family homes with easy access to I-5 for north-south and I-405 for the eastside, making it a very desirable location.
